Context In the era of Industry 4.0, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Industrial Information Systems is transforming production processes. AI, coupled with the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and the growing amount of data that can be generated and captured, makes it possible to optimize performance, predict failures, improve decision-making, etc. These complex systems consist of a network of sensors, actuators, automated systems, and data analysis platforms, often connected to the Internet, thereby exposing these industrial environments to new risks. However, the introduction of AI and the increased use of data in these systems raise major cybersecurity issues. AI can be exploited for malicious purposes, whether through data manipulation, attacks on learning algorithms, or the exploitation of security flaws in existing systems. Securing industrial information systems is becoming a crucial challenge in a context where the coexistence of legacy and modern systems, using varied and sometimes vulnerable protocols, creates fertile ground for sophisticated cyberattacks. AI is only one aspect of a broader concept, Industry 4.0. This umbrella term encompasses the technological innovations allowing industry to gain efficiency. The organization of production units is being rethought, including their design...

BACKGROUND The objects and systems that surround us are increasingly computerized and open to the outside world. All activity sectors are concerned; for example, in the transport sector: trains use standardized IT platforms and are connected to the outside world to send maintenance information back up, stream camera video feeds, and download passenger information or even advertising. The same goes for cars, which tend to be connected to their environments to deliver precise traffic information and offer enhanced services. This is also the case for planes as well as consumer products: televisions, refrigerators, music speakers, locks, etc. However, the interconnection and computerization of these products make them more vulnerable to cyber threats. Within companies manufacturing these products, a new role is emerging: the Product Security Manager (the person who manages and organizes product security) or Product Security Officers (persons who check and practically apply product security on a daily basis). This new player must take cybersecurity into account during the development of these products and in maintaining them in a secure condition once sold. To successfully carry out their mission, the PSM or PSO must

Context: Industrial Information Systems are often considered less mature than so-called "traditional" enterprise systems. Historically isolated from Ethernet networks and designed to operate autonomously, these systems did not require robust security measures. However, this situation has changed considerably over the last ten years. The increase in cyber attacks, growing connectivity with external networks, and major business evolutions aimed at better production optimization have made cybersecurity a major issue for industry. Today, industrial systems are undergoing digital transformation, adopting innovative solutions to catch up with their technological lag. The convergence between office information systems and industrial information systems (IT/OT) has also become a reality, allowing for smoother integration of information systems with production environments. Historical IT players are now offering solutions tailored to the specific needs of industrial environments. Among the notable developments are the development of secure industrial protocols—including data signing and encryption by design—the adoption of virtual PLCs (soft PLCs) to increase flexibility, and the migration of control-command systems (industrial systems that control and monitor...

All our positions are open to people with disabilities. CONTEXT The "de-perimeterization" of the corporate information system (IS), an anticipatory vision conceived by the Jericho Forum in the early 2000s, is becoming a reality thanks to the massive adoption of Cloud and teleworking. From a centralized IS where resources are mostly hosted in the company's datacenters and users work primarily from the company's premises, we are moving towards a decentralized IS where resources are distributed between datacenters and one or more Cloud environments, and where users can work from anywhere. Faced with such a transformation, which has the effect of increasing the attack surface of the IS, and a cyber threat that almost always finds a way to infiltrate the IS, traditional security models based on the implementation of network security perimeters and trust zones are being questioned. In this context, the Zero Trust philosophy is experiencing significant enthusiasm. However, while the theoretical principles are now relatively well known and understood, many companies are wondering about the concrete approach to implementing a Zero Trust model. OBJECTIVES The objectives of the internship are to demonstrate the feasibility of a Zero Trust architecture and evaluate its level of security through the design and implementation of a demonstration.
