About the Role
Context In the era of Industry 4.0, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Industrial Information Systems is transforming production processes. AI, coupled with the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and the growing amount of data that can be generated and captured, makes it possible to optimize performance, predict failures, improve decision-making, etc. These complex systems consist of a network of sensors, actuators, automated systems, and data analysis platforms, often connected to the Internet, thereby exposing these industrial environments to new risks. However, the introduction of AI and the increased use of data in these systems raise major cybersecurity issues. AI can be exploited for malicious purposes, whether through data manipulation, attacks on learning algorithms, or the exploitation of security flaws in existing systems. Securing industrial information systems is becoming a crucial challenge in a context where the coexistence of legacy and modern systems, using varied and sometimes vulnerable protocols, creates fertile ground for sophisticated cyberattacks. AI is only one aspect of a broader concept, Industry 4.0. This umbrella term encompasses the technological innovations allowing industry to gain efficiency. The organization of production units is being rethought, including their design...
