## We are seeking a self-directed Insurance Defense AttorneyWe are seeking a self-directed Insurance Defense Attorney with substantial experience to independently manage higher-value and more complex matters with minimal supervision. In this fully remote role, you will work alongside another attorney based in Western Pennsylvania, supporting the firm's growing regional caseload and helping build a stronger long-term footprint in the market.## Key Responsibilities- Case Management: Independently manage insurance defense matters from initial inception through final resolution, handling higher-value and complex litigation.- Litigation & Strategy: Develop comprehensive case strategies, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents, and conduct/defend depositions.- Court Appearances: Handle court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and trial preparations.- Ownership: Take full ownership of significant litigation matters with minimal supervision.- Client Relations: Maintain strong, professional relationships with insurance carriers, claims professionals, self-insured entities, and corporate clients.- Business Development: Help expand the firm's insurance defense presence throughout Western Pennsylvania and build robust regional relationships.## Qualifications & Requirements- Required Education & Licensure: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and an active Pennsylvania law license.- Core Experience: Substantial insurance
