A day in the life of a Manager, Financial Master Data Governance at VF looks a little like this. As part of the Finance Systems organization, the Manager serves as the enterprise finance systems master data governance lead and a central gatekeeper for financial data consistency, clarity, and control. The role owns governance across all finance systems, and ensures that shared master data, hierarchies, mappings, and reporting dimensions are designed and maintained consistently across the finance technology landscape. The role combines broad finance systems knowledge with independent judgment, governance ownership, and cross-functional influence. It partners with Finance, Accounting, Technology, Internal Controls, enterprise Data Governance, and system administrators to evaluate changes, resolve conflicts, set requirements, and protect the integrity of financial data across global processes.
