Assistant Controller (CPA)

Privia Health is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Assistant Controller to join our accounting team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this key leadership role will be instrumental in scaling our financial operations, strengthening internal controls (SOX), driving key accounting workflows, and leading finance system transformations. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of public accounting and public company experience, with expertise in U.S. GAAP, audit readiness, and leading remote teams. Primary Job Duties: Financial Operations & Close Management Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close routines to ensure accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial statements and reconciliations. Oversee the review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules across business units. Partner with FP&A on budget-to-actual variance analyses and operational reporting to deliver actionable insights. Lead financial integration activities for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to ensure seamless onboarding and accounting alignment.
