Data Visualization Analyst - Power Platform

Overview LMI is seeking a Data Visualization Analyst - Power Platform to create high-impact visual analytics and decision-support products for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) modernization initiatives. This role combines advanced data visualization, business intelligence, semantic modeling, and stakeholder engagement to turn complex operational and program data into clear, actionable information. The Data Visualization Analyst will lead the design and delivery of executive dashboards, operational reporting, analytical visualizations, and interactive decision-support experiences using Microsoft Power BI/Power Platform, Tableau, or comparable enterprise visualization tools. The successful candidate must understand both the data behind the visual and the decisions the visual is intended to support. This is not a screen-building-only role. The analyst will work with stakeholders to define measures, clarify business questions, validate source data, establish visual hierarchy, test usability, and communicate trends, exceptions, uncertainty, and performance in ways that are accurate, accessible, and easy to act on. Candidates should independently own complex visualization products and multi-source reporting. Senior candidates should additionally set visualization standards, advise executives, mentor team members, and shape enterprise approaches to semantic models, dashboard governance, accessibility, and visual analytics.
