About the Role
Do you want to contribute to developing relevant and useful educational materials for upper secondary school vocational programs? Do you have experience in vocational education and a strong interest in language, pedagogy, and content development? Then a long-term consulting partnership with Liber might be right for you. About the Assignment: Liber is looking for an editor for a long-term consulting partnership focused on the development and management of educational materials for upper secondary school vocational programs, primarily the Building and Construction Program, the HVAC and Property Maintenance Program, and the Industrial Engineering Program. As an editor, you will be responsible for editorial work and contribute subject and target audience perspectives throughout the entire process—from idea and manuscript development to the finished product in print and digital formats. You will work closely with authors, project managers, vocational teachers, industry representatives, designers, and illustrators. You will work in close collaboration with the publisher. The publisher holds overall responsibility for the portfolio, priorities, and product decisions, while you contribute editorial expertise, subject knowledge, and an understanding of teaching in vocational programs. Your Main Responsibilities: Plan and execute editorial work in collaboration with the publisher and the rest of the project team. Process, structure, and proofread student and teacher materials, and adapt content to the target audience. Provide support to authors in manuscript work and follow up on content issues during production. Ensure that the educational materials comply with current curriculum, governing documents, and teaching needs.
