Payroll & Benefits Accountant (Part-Time)

Innovu is a growing Pittsburgh, PA-based data analytics company providing comprehensive solutions that enable advisors and their employer clients to optimize their benefits strategy, human capital risk management, and health benefit design. Innovu ’s Payroll & Benefits Accountant is responsible for the Company’s payroll and payroll tax accounting, submission of payroll information to outside processors and verification of payrolls, employee benefit tracking and a range of payroll and benefit-related accounting tasks. This role will be a valuable member of the Innovu Finance team and must possess exceptional attention to detail and have significant prior experience in payroll and benefit accounting, payroll processing and payroll taxes. This role is an accounting position and involves doing considerable accounting work that will be used by Innovu ’s accounting team. The position will also interact with all levels of Innovu employees. This fully remote, part-time role is expected to require 20-25 hours per week with additional hours required periodically for training or to support seasonal times of peak payroll, benefit or accounting activities. Responsibilities: Lead the accounting work for payroll and benefits activities, including journal entries, analyzing payroll and benefit-related balance sheet accounts, and properly coding and tracking payroll in the general ledger. Support the monthly accounting close and reporting cycle by updating the vacation accrual, payroll li
