Data Governance Lead

This is a remote position. JOB SUMMARY: Genesis Consulting has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Data Governance Lead to join our team and support a Federal Agency project centered around Data Management and Analytics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing and overseeing data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with federal data security standards, and promoting best practices in data management across the federal agencies. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong background in data governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks to enhance the quality and integrity of data across the organization. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the development and implementation of the agency’s data governance framework, ensuring adherence to policies and compliance with relevant regulations. Establish and enforce data cataloging, metadata management, and data privacy strategies to ensure data integrity and usability. Collaborate with the agencies to promote data standardization and access policies, facilitating effective data stewardship across the organization. Monitor compliance with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and cybersecurity standards to protect sensitive data and maintain regulatory compliance. Engage with stakeholders to identify data governance challenges and propose strategic solutions that enhance data management processes.
