Google Cloud Database Administrator

On a day-to-day basis, this individual will be responsible for administrating and implementing database solutions while providing system operational support, administration, problem resolution, and perform software installations and upgrades on our database systems concentrating on Google Cloud Platform and other cloud-based solutions (up to 30%). The Database Administrator will be expected to exhibit strong troubleshooting techniques while striving to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Other duties also include monitoring performance and capacity on our database systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams. These results are achieved by: Responsibility for all enterprise database technology deployed in the cloud including various versions of Microsoft SQL Server and other database platforms including features such as the core database engine, reporting, data loading and transformations, business intelligence, replication technologies and other modules. Perform configuration and maintenance of database platforms, including patching. Monitor database instances for performance, utilization, and capacity. Work with application teams when appropriate to address issues. Manage maintenance plans, backups, and automated jobs. Responsible for the database platform security model, including using Active Directory-integrated accounts in a multi-forest environment where
