Consults experienced underwriters to ask questions and gain understanding in underwriting best practices. Supports underwriting team by completing tasks, such as reviewing endorsements within authority limit and analyzing assigned new and renewal accounts. Under supervision, evaluates basic middle market accounts for risk selection and pricing purposes within limited authority. Analyzes exposure, company and regional risk appetite, account premium and loss history, financial data, line(s) of business, price guidance, motor vehicle records, online sources of information, reports from premium audit or risk improvement and other relevant information to underwrite policies. Maintains proper file documentation in connection with accounts. Communicates with agents and provides updates on accounts.
