About the Role
Software development is changing faster than ever—and AI is the reason why. Those who build apps today work with Copilot, Claude & Co. Those who do it tomorrow must know how to do it right. That is precisely what we prepare people for. The App Academy is a certified educational institution from Berlin. In fully remote advanced training courses, we teach IT-experienced people how to develop modern apps with a clear focus on AI-assisted development. We work with various technologies, and our curriculum is constantly growing—we are continually expanding new tracks and tools, and anyone joining us as a mentor grows right along with it. Our participants usually already bring a technical foundation: they come from the IT sector and want to transition into software development or deepen their skills in a targeted way. And this is exactly where you come in: As a mentor, you are the person who guides them through the course—and thus the decisive factor for their success. Responsibilities Your own participants: You support a fixed set of participants, know their strengths, identify where they get stuck, and actively guide them through the course. Teaching AI-assisted development: You show how modern tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT can be sensibly used in everyday development—from effective prompting and code generation to the critical review of AI output. Anyone can blindly adopt AI code; being able to evaluate it is what matters.
