Financial Controller

albo albo offers financial products to individuals and small and medium businesses in Mexico. Our group includes a regulated electronic payment funds institution, operating subsidiaries and a UK holding company. Our business combines payments, lending, customer balances and subscription services. About the role As Financial Controller, you will report directly to the CFO and lead albo 's Accounting & Tax and FP&A functions through the Accounting & Tax Manager and the FP&A Manager, who report to you. You will be accountable for the accuracy and integrity of the group's financial results, financial regulatory reporting and internal controls. This is a senior, hands-on role combining technical review, team leadership and sound business judgment in a regulated fintech environment. What you’ll be doing at albo : Oversee the monthly, quarterly and annual close, ensuring the Accounting & Tax Manager delivers the monthly close by D+10. Review balance sheet, P&L and cash flow reporting, resolve material reconciliation issues and ensure accounting actuals align with FP&A before management reporting. Ensure entity financial statements follow applicable Mexican NIF and CNBV accounting criteria, and review and approve the group’s consolidated IFRS reporting. Oversee high-volume reconciliations across operational systems, banks and the ledger, including payment settlements and loan portfolios.
