Substack is building a new economic engine for culture, giving the brightest, most interesting, and most creative people on the internet the power of their own publishing platform. Substack empowers independent writers, artists, videographers, podcasters, and creators of all types to create, share, and make a living off their work through subscriptions, while offering them creative freedom, ownership, and a direct connection to their audiences. We're looking for a Senior Communications Manager, Shows to lead Substack's communications efforts across its audio and video offerings. Working closely with product, creator partnerships, and editorial, this person will own audio and video product communications and develop creative, integrated initiatives that highlight our products, elevate the creators building on the platform, and help Substack reach new audiences. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and creative thinker with sharp editorial instincts, deep knowledge of the audio and video creator ecosystem, and strong industry relationships. They know how to use editorial, social, publicity, partnerships, and events to reach different audiences, and are just as comfortable developing a strategy as they are executing it. This position will sit on the Brand & Communications team and will report directly to the Communications Lead. Core responsibilities - Lead audio and video storytelling. Own and execute an integrated communications strategy across editorial
