Position Summary... What you'll do... Role summary: Lead Walmart’s upstream resin strategy, building the supplier relationships, market intelligence, and commercial agreements needed to improve material cost, supply continuity, sustainability, and innovation across Private Brands and packaging. This role works at the raw-material level—connecting Walmart’s business needs with resin producers, converters, and emerging circular-material partners. The Senior Manager will lead category strategy across virgin and recycled resins, monitor commodity and capacity dynamics, and develop preferred supplier and long-term agreement opportunities. Success requires translating complex resin-market conditions into practical solutions that strengthen supply, improve economics, and support Walmart’s packaging and sustainability priorities. About the team: The Upstream Materials team develops strategies, supplier relationships, and commercial agreements for materials used in Walmart’s products and packaging. Operating at the raw-material level—including resin, pulp, ingredients, and metals—the team focuses on cost optimization, supply continuity, and innovation access. Collaborating with Private Brands, Merchandising, Product Development, Packaging, Supply Chain, and suppliers, the team translates market insights into practical solutions.
