Construction Estimator - Flooring

About the Opportunit y We’re looking for a highly detail-oriented Construction Takeoff & Estimating Specialist with practical experience reviewing construction plans and preparing flooring quantity takeoffs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently with construction drawings, identifying flooring requirements and accurately calculating the quantities of materials needed for a project. This role requires someone who understands flooring scope, can interpret construction plans confidently and has hands-on experience using construction takeoff software such as PlanSwift or a similar tool. Accuracy is essential. The successful candidate must be able to identify relevant details within drawings, measure quantities carefully and produce reliable takeoff information to support the estimating process. Requirements Key Responsibilities 1. Construction Plan Review Review architectural, construction and flooring plans to understand project requirements. Interpret drawings, dimensions, legends, specifications and relevant notes. Identify the areas and spaces requiring flooring installation. Determine the flooring scope based on the available project documentation. Identify missing information, inconsistencies or unclear details that may affect quantities. 2. Flooring Quantity Takeoffs Perform detailed flooring quantity takeoffs using construction drawings. Calculate floor areas and quantities required for different flooring materials and finishes.
