About the Role
Role Summary As a Civil Design Engineer II/III, you will design the site layouts, grading, drainage, and access roads that make utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage projects buildable. Civil design sets a project’s footprint on the land and shapes how it is permitted, priced, and constructed. You will turn survey, geotechnical, and site constraint data into civil land development sheet sets in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, working with structural, electrical, environmental, and project management colleagues to deliver projects that bring more renewable generation onto the grid. As an employee-owner, you will share in the results of the work and help build a team where careful, well-documented engineering earns the trust of clients and colleagues. Candidates may be considered at either the Engineer II or Engineer III level depending on experience, technical depth, independence, and demonstrated ability to lead scope. Duties & Responsibilities Across both levels, this role may include: Core Technical & Functional Responsibilities Create site layouts and civil land development sheet sets in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for utility-scale and commercial solar PV and battery energy storage projects. Design site grading, earthwork, and surface drainage that balance constructability, cost, and site performance. Lay out access roads, internal roads, and laydown areas that meet project and jurisdictional requirements. Prepare stormwater management and erosion and sediment control
