Energy Storage, Senior Estimator II SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Senior Estimator will provide leadership, coordination, and final preparation of full estimates on large and complex work projects. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead estimating efforts on large and complex projects Provide conceptual, detailed, self-perform work estimates, and cost models Organize, research, and strategically plan for estimate preparation, pricing, scheduling, and submission Determine subcontractors for bidding process and final estimate pricing Assign work to estimating team and ensure accurate information is incorporated Conduct quantity surveys, cost estimates, and review subcontractor proposals Research tax laws, collective bargaining agreements, and permits Write and submit Requests for Information Maintain regular communication with team members, owners, architects, and engineers Ensure understanding of project scope and updates among team members and subcontractors Research and analyze historical project data for current applications Assist in selecting building systems and software programs Assist in project scheduling Lead, train, mentor, and manage estimators, including performance evaluations QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
