Job Overview: Help us train the next generation of personal robots. Using the UMI gripper (a wearable device that mimics a robot hand, allowing you to perform tasks with natural movements), you will record high-quality video demonstrations of daily household chores. Your demonstrations will serve as training data for robots to learn how to perform tasks in real home environments. Key Responsibilities: Use the UMI gripper (wearable device) to record and submit high-quality video demonstrations of daily household chores according to specifications. Follow detailed task instructions to ensure all recordings meet the project's strict standards. Review feedback from assigned reviewers and continuously improve working methods to enhance data quality. Set up and operate recording equipment and the UMI gripper to accurately replicate real hand movements during work. Communicate proactively and clearly with the client project team, both in writing and verbally. Maintain a stable weekly workflow to meet the minimum requirements for approved data. Required Skills & Qualifications: Keen attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow complex specifications. Manual dexterity and experience performing precise physical tasks in various home environments. Comfort with operating, wearing, and setting up specialized devices and recording equipment. Ability to incorporate feedback and continuously improve work processes and deliverables. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (willingness to engage in rapid feedback loops). Access to a well-equipped Japanese living environment (kitchen, living space, common household items) at all times. High-speed, stable home internet connection capable of uploading large video files. This role requires wearing a VR headset for extended periods. Candidates must be comfortable wearing it for long durations as part of routine tasks. Preferred Skills & Experience: Genuine curiosity about personal robots, AI, and emerging home technologies. Prior experience participating in data collection, usability research, or similar hands-on projects. Patience with repetitive, high-precision tasks and project needs.
