Data Officer

About the role Fortify Health believes in making data-driven decisions. In order to make these decisions, it is critical that we have high-quality data available to decision-makers. The Data Officer will play a critical role in ensuring an efficient data collection system, accurate data processing and transformation, and analysis of this data across the organisation. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design, implement, and maintain data systems that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. The Data Officer will report to Fortify Health ’s Senior Data Officer. Key Responsibilities The Data Officer will work closely with the Quality and Program teams to strengthen Fortify Health 's data systems, improve data quality, and generate reliable insights to support program implementation and decision-making. The role will involve the following responsibilities: Data Management and Infrastructure Develop, maintain, and improve digital data collection systems, automated data pipelines, and data transformation workflows using tools such as SurveyCTO, Google Sheets, Airbyte, BigQuery, and dbt. Ensure the availability, consistency, and usability of data across systems by maintaining data models, troubleshooting technical issues, and improving the reliability and cost-effectiveness of data infrastructure.
