Datacenter and Network System Administrator/Analyst (Permanent or Freelance)

📋 Tasks and responsibilities You will be part of the System Administration section within the ICT department in Bruges. You will work together with other system administrators and analysts and report to the section head. Within the third-line team, the focus is on the datacenter, data communication, and security. The ICT environment is hybrid, consisting of cloud and on-premise components. You follow market developments and technological innovations, assess their potential impact, and advise on a suitable approach. You then implement the solution yourself or support external parties during execution. Managing and maintaining the ICT infrastructure, with a focus on the datacenter, data communication, and security. Monitoring and executing installations and planned maintenance during the monthly maintenance window. Collaborating with and supervising internal ICT staff and external installers or suppliers. Setting up and supervising proof-of-concepts for new solutions. Resolving complex incidents, problems, and changes. Advising on cloud and XaaS solutions and conceptually designing sustainable ICT architectures. Monitoring and optimizing ITIL processes, including problem management and change management. Keeping configuration items and the CMDB up to date for managed assets. Monitoring the ICT infrastructure and taking responsibility for analysis, capacity control, capacity management, and capacity planning. Documenting processes and systems within your own management.
