Senior Cloud / DevOps Engineer – AWS, Kubernetes/OpenShift (m/f/d)

Who we are: Rockstardevelopers, founded in 2015 in Mannheim, with additional offices in Stuttgart and Munich. We are a software developer with experience from hundreds of individual projects for enterprise and mid-market clients. Short communication channels, honest feedback, no political games. No hierarchy levels between you and the people who make decisions. Your responsibilities: Setup and operation of cloud infrastructure (AWS, partially Azure) in enterprise and regulated environments; Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, containers (Docker/Kubernetes); Co-designing cloud architecture – cost, security, scaling; Automation, monitoring/observability, troubleshooting of time-critical incidents; DevOps culture: close collaboration with dev teams, security, and product owners; Developing productively with AI tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor). Most people come to one of the offices one to two days a week. There is no obligation. On-site at the client only for individual appointments every few weeks, mostly in Frankfurt am Main. Where you will end up: Depending on the project: large corporations like Deutsche Bahn / DB Systel, public sector (Federal Employment Agency, ITZBund, Federal Printing Office) as well as enterprise and mid-market clients – focusing on cloud and platform topics in each case. Our clients staff these projects almost exclusively with permanent employees. Therefore, we are looking for you for a permanent position. What you bring: Senior level. Our clients need people who deliver from day one.
