AI Developer LLM / RAG / Agents – Python or TypeScript (m/f/d)

You build AI applications that run in production for clients: dialogue systems, semantic search, RAG pipelines, and agentic systems with tool integration. No prototypes just sitting on the shelf. From hundreds of projects for enterprise and mid-market clients, we know how to build software that holds up when it counts. For a while now, our focus has been shifting toward AI: LLM applications, RAG, and agent systems that go live for our clients. What it's about Our clients include Deutsche Bahn and public sector IT service providers—a regulated environment with high standards for data protection, the EU AI Act, and operational reliability. In this role, you will integrate AI solutions into existing specialized applications. The project language is German. Day-to-day work is remote-first, with client meetings typically held in Frankfurt am Main. Our clients staff these projects almost exclusively with full-time employees. Therefore, we are looking for you on a permanent, full-time basis. Responsibilities: - Integrate language models into specialized applications: RAG with retrieval and reranking, tool-calling, MCP servers, multi-agent workflows - Build evaluation frameworks: measure response quality, minimize hallucinations, keep costs and token usage under control - Select models and maintain model flexibility (Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, open models), keeping governance and data privacy in mind - Operations: containers, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting - Close collaboration with business departments, architecture, and teams.
