Packet and Voice Engineer

The Packet and Voice Engineer will be part of an optimization team that focuses on migrations to reduce cost and grooms customer and network circuits when required for real estate network projects. Responsibilities Provision customer and network services in routers, data switches, voice switching platforms and transport equipment. Perform maintenance window grooming of customer and network circuits in support of optimization efforts. In-depth analysis on networks to reduce space, power and off-net costs. Develop plans for optimal use of network infrastructure. Configure, test, and turn up new network devices and decommission legacy equipment. Provide support to field operations, NOC and other internal and external groups as needed. Audit network database inventory to identify impacted equipment and facilities for optimization and site vacate projects. Performs other related duties or projects as assigned. Qualifications At least
