Steel Structure Detailer

Workplace: Remote - Province of Quebec (if the candidate lives in the greater Montreal area, it is an asset). Job type: Permanent. Required education: DEC, AEC, or equivalent training. Required specialty: Industrial drawing, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field. Experience: 2-5 years in steel detailing. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Auxiliary Resources Coordinator, you will be responsible for: Participating in internal meetings (kick-off, design, project reviews) and actively collaborating on technical follow-ups; Performing 3D modeling and detailing of steel structures, including the preparation of shop drawings and assembly/erection plans; Generating manufacturing deliverables (material lists, parts, bolts, etc.) from the completed models; Contributing to projects with the design engineer and other disciplines to ensure the integration and feasibility of solutions; Checking drawings to ensure compliance with current regulations, company standards, and client requirements; Identifying inconsistencies or technical conflicts and proposing appropriate solutions; Participating in the continuous improvement of drafting practices (standards, tools, working methods); Performing any other related tasks associated with projects. PROFILE AND REQUIREMENTS: Proficiency in a modeling and detailing software such as Advance Steel (or equivalent).
