Structural Steel Detailer

Work Location: Remote - Province of Quebec (candidates living in the greater Montreal area are preferred) Employment Type: Permanent Required Education: DEC, AEC, or equivalent training Required Specialty: Industrial drawing, civil engineering, architecture, or related field Experience: 2-5 years in steel detailing DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Under the supervision of the Auxiliary Resources Coordinator, you will be responsible for: Participating in internal meetings (kick-off, design, project reviews) and actively collaborating on technical follow-ups; Performing 3D modeling and detailing of steel structures, including the preparation of shop drawings and erection plans; Generating manufacturing deliverables (material lists, parts, bolts, etc.) from the completed models; Collaborating on projects with the design engineer and other disciplines to ensure the integration and feasibility of solutions; Checking drawings to ensure compliance with current regulations, company standards, and client requirements; Identifying technical inconsistencies or conflicts and proposing tailored solutions; Participating in the continuous improvement of drawing practices (standards, tools, work methods); Performing any other related tasks associated with projects. PROFILE AND REQUIREMENTS Proficiency in modeling and detailing software such as Advance Steel (or equivalent);
