Building Information Modeling (BIM) Specialist

As a BIM Specialist , you will be a technical support professional for the Wesco Global Solutions business, supporting technology projects through Building Information Modeling (BIM), CAD drafting, drawing development, and multidisciplinary coordination. You will work with internal teams, customers, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to develop and maintain accurate project models and documentation for technology and low-voltage systems. The BIM Specialist supports projects throughout design coordination, construction, revisions, and closeout while maintaining established project, customer, and BIM/CAD standards. Responsibilities: Develop, modify, and maintain Autodesk Revit models and AutoCAD drawings for technology and low-voltage systems based on customer information, project requirements, sketches, markups, redlines, PDFs, and existing project documentation. Model project-specific technology infrastructure including equipment, devices, racks, cabinets, cable tray, conduit, pathways, telecommunications infrastructure, and other elements within the assigned project scope. Maintain appropriate model accuracy and Level of Development (LOD 300 to LOD 500) based on contractual and project requirements. Perform BIM coordination and clash detection, including identifying, reviewing, coordinating, and resolving clashes within the assigned scope.
