Steel Trader / Account Manager DACH (m/f/d) - Remote

Your mission: Steel is one of the oldest and largest industries in the world – yet it is still traded via phone calls and Excel spreadsheets. We are changing that, and we are looking for an experienced trader to take over the DACH market with us. This is not an SDR job and not a cold-calling grind. From day one, you will own your deals from start to finish: you acquire them, negotiate on both sides, close them, and oversee execution. You manage the largest steel market in Europe as your own book – remotely, with true personal accountability and real upside on every deal you close. If you know how the steel trade works and the deal itself is your drive, this is your place. What you will be responsible for: You will build Vanilla Steel's trading and brokerage business in the DACH region – it is yours; You are the central point of contact for German-speaking suppliers and buyers and the foundation of trust for these relationships; You acquire, negotiate, and close profitable deals while working closely with the operations team to execute them cleanly; You collaborate with account managers in other regions to close cross-border deals that neither side could land alone; You win and open new accounts when the market slows down; You bring market knowledge and a strong sense for pricing back to the team. Your profile: You have experience in steel (or a comparable industry).
