Director of Philanthropy Operations

What We Can Achieve Together: The Director of Philanthropy Operations is responsible for directing the Florida Business Unit (BU) Development Operations Team in support of the annual Florida Fundraising Strategy as set by the Florida Director of Philanthropy and Florida Executive Director. The Director of Philanthropy Operations is responsible for co-creating a vision for the Philanthropy Operations team with the Florida Director of Philanthropy, directing all aspects of the four key strategic areas within the Florida development program; donor engagement and events, donor communications, major gift management, and philanthropy operations (gift coding/research/administration/project management). They will manage a team that handles gift processing, fundraising and financial reporting, events and trips, research, prospect management activity, donor engagement and stewardship, volunteer management, and pipeline building. During fundraising campaigns, they collaborate with BU leadership and direct the operations of the BU’s comprehensive campaign, ensuring that the campaign operating plan, timeline, deliverables and desired fundraising targets are met. The Director of Philanthropy Operations will drive effective management and processes for all four areas of philanthropy operations with the overall objective of optimal support to maximize essential fundraiser time “out the door.” They will hold their direct reports accountable to achieve Philanthropy Operations measurable goals
