HSE Senior Analyst - New York, NY

Turner & Townsend are seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Senior Analyst to join our construction management consultancy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all health and safety regulations are adhered to across our construction projects. This role involves developing and implementing safety policies, conducting site inspections, and providing guidance to project teams to maintain a safe working environment. What you’ll do Proactive Safety in Design Review: Read, interpret, and perform meticulous safety reviews of architectural drawing sets, technical design specifications, engineering drawings, floor layouts, elevations, and Life Safety Plans across all project phases (Concept & Schematic, Design Development, and Construction Documents). Lifecycle Hazard Mitigation: Apply Safety in Design (Safety in Design) principles and the Hierarchy of Controls to eliminate or substitute hazards at the design stage, prioritizing physical engineering solutions over administrative controls and personal protective equipment (PPE). Evaluate designs to ensure safety across all lifecycle phases: construction, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and eventual demolition. Hazard Identification & Workshops: Lead or actively participate in systematic, multidisciplinary hazard identification exercises.
