Credit Lead (Underwriter)-fintech & payments expertise

The role: Tether Capital is launching a new credit vertical focused on providing short-term liquidity and credit facilities to fintech companies, payment providers, exchanges, and other financial institutions. We are looking for a Credit Lead (underwriter) focused on institutional lending and liquidity to join this new initiative and help build the credit function from the ground up. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong experience in credit underwriting and structuring, who is comfortable assessing businesses, making credit recommendations, and developing the policies and processes needed to support a growing lending platform. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Underwrite and structure credit facilities, including revolving credit facilities, working capital loans, and liquidity facilities. Analyse companies' financial statements, cash flows, liquidity position and repayment capacity. Determine appropriate lending amounts, terms, covenants, security, and other risk protections. Develop credit policies, underwriting guidelines, templates, and concentration limits from scratch. Monitor credit risk and borrower performance and establish appropriate risk-monitoring processes. Support the development and scaling of the new credit business. Requirements: 10+ years of relevant credit experience.
