This is the national 24/7 domestic, family and sexual violence counselling, information, and support service. 1800RESPECT provides free, confidential support for people experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, domestic, family, and sexual violence, including workplace sexual harassment. The Service also provides support for friends, family, and professionals. About the role As a First Response Counsellor in these part-time or full-time positions, you'll provide trauma-informed support via phone, video, web chat, and SMS in a fast-paced contact centre environment. What you'll be doing Conducting risk and safety assessments Providing counselling, information, referrals, and support Connecting people with appropriate services and pathways to safety What you'll bring to the role Strong understanding of domestic, family, sexual violence, and sexual assault practices Experience working in trauma-informed and person-centred frameworks
