Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

About the team The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant (SFRA) is a key member of the Financial Operations team. This role offers a unique blend of business partnership, technical accounting and financial reporting. It focuses on the accounting close related to the company’s software capitalization efforts. As the primary finance liaison for software capitalization, the SFRA collaborates closely with IT business partners to ensure accurate accounting, reporting and recording of capitalizable software costs in the financial statements. The SFRA also performs technical accounting research and prepares documentation on a variety of accounting topics. In addition, the SFRA performs the accounting, recording, and reporting of operating and finance leases. About the role This role also plays an active part in the monthly close process, including accounting for prepaid assets and fixed assets. The SFRA may also perform operating expense allocations, prepare and review cash reconciliations. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting requirements, along with an ability and desire to take on complex tasks and build strong relationships with business partners.
