Art Director

YOUR MANDATE We are looking for an Art Director for a AAA cinematic project. You demonstrate leadership and inventiveness regarding the established vision of the project, in order to lead it to the expected quality or surpass it, according to the studio's standards, and in compliance with production parameters. Your creative and qualitative input is important within the framework established by the client and the creative director. You artistically and visually translate the client's vision, under the supervision of the creative director and in tandem with the VFX Sup. You ensure the monitoring of the overall artistic vision at key moments of production, in conjunction with the CG sup and production. YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Complete and/or streamline the creative (Art) vision: build the art bible from brief elements received from the client and/or creative director; Supervise, guide, and validate conceptual illustrations of characters and/or environments (references, moodboards, etc.); perform assignments and tracking accordingly (Set/Props Designers/Character Designer team); Ensure, at key moments determined with the VFX sup, that character and environment models, textures/shading, surfacing, lighting/compositing, and 2D special effects correspond to the graphic rules determined in the bible; supervise/perform paintovers if necessary; REQUIREMENTS YOU HAVE A minimum of 8 years in art direction.
