Team Lead Storage & Backup (m/f/d) - Internal

Your responsibilities: As Team Lead Storage & Backup, you will take responsibility for a specialized team of 13 people that plans, operates, and continuously develops high-availability storage and backup environments. You will provide disciplinary leadership for your team, manage workloads, quality, and processes, and actively contribute both operationally and architecturally. Leadership and further development of the 13-member storage and backup team. Planning, architecture, implementation, and operation of modern storage landscapes (Focus: NetApp). Installation, configuration, and release changes of storage systems. Ensuring stable operations including HA environments, MetroCluster, and SAN (Brocade, Cisco MDS). Technical support for proposals, tenders, and escalations. Creation and maintenance of documentation and operational manuals. Optimization of workflows and active further development of the storage and backup portfolio. This job is assigned to the IT Operations job role and the M1 job level. Your profile: Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) or comparable; ideally additional further education. Several years of experience in the storage/backup environment, proficient in handling NetApp. Knowledge of SAN technologies as well as file and block protocols (SMB/NFS, iSCSI, FC). Experience with shared infrastructures or cloud setups is an advantage. Initial leadership experience or clear readiness to assume disciplinary leadership of a small team. Strong communication skills in German and English.
