Project Lead

Position Summary We are seeking a Project Lead to support the execution of avionics engineering programs involving either Software (SW) or FPGA development. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who has demonstrated leadership capabilities and is looking to transition into a formal management role. This position will focus on team coordination, project execution, status reporting, customer interaction, and overall project visibility. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and engineering teams, with mentorship and training provided as needed. Location: The role can be onsite (CT), hybrid, or remote. Responsibilities Lead avionics and embedded systems development projects from initiation through delivery and certification in alignment with contracts and project plans. Lead day-to-day execution of engineering activities for full-lifecycle projects. Serve as primary representative to customers, engineering teams and management. Define and maintain project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and resource plan. Monitor program execution using multiple management techniques including, but not limited to, Earned Value Management (EVM) principles, standard metrics, and agile/lean techniques. Understand and apply Quality Management Systems (QMS). Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Systems, Software, Hardware, Test, and Certification teams.
