Lead Software Engineer

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will combine hands-on full-stack engineering with technical and delivery leadership in one of our stream-aligned product squads. Each squad owns its applications, user experience, services, data schemas and migrations from discovery through operation. You will work closely with an assigned Business Analyst, developers, Quality Assurance, DevSecOps and business stakeholders. You will guide technical decisions, accept delivery-ready user stories and estimates, remove impediments, coordinate dependencies and ensure that completed work meets its acceptance criteria and Definition of Done. Responsibilities Design, build and operate accessible web applications, backend services, APIs, integrations and data-access components. Guide architecture decisions and protect the long-term coherence, security, reliability, observability and maintainability of the squad’s solutions. Accept user stories and story-point estimates, facilitate delivery decisions, remove impediments and coordinate dependencies with other squads and technical functions. Ensure delivered work meets acceptance criteria, engineering standards and the agreed Definition of Done. Establish explicit API and service contracts, versioning, integration tests and dependency ownership across domain boundaries. Lead code and design reviews, improve automated testing, and promote secure development and pragmatic documentation. Partner with DevSecOps to strengthen CI/CD pipelines, cloud environment
