Monitoring Specialist / IT Operations Engineer (m/w/d)

Permanent position | Full-time | Remote | Germany As a Monitoring Specialist/IT Operations Engineer, you ensure stable IT services, transparent operational processes, and reliable monitoring of business-critical systems. Responsibilities You monitor IT systems, applications, interfaces, cloud services, and end-to-end services. You evaluate monitoring alerts, incidents, and performance anomalies based on criticality. You initiate appropriate measures in the event of threshold violations, outages, and availability risks. You administer and optimize monitoring tools, dashboards, alarm rules, and escalation paths. You support incident, problem, event, and change management during ongoing IT operations. You analyze trends, capacities, and recurring operational issues for sustainable stabilization. You document outages, measures, operational evidence, and lessons learned in an auditable and traceable manner. You accompany IT projects, system introductions, and service changes from an operational perspective. Qualifications You have a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics (Wirtschaftsinformatik), or a comparable IT qualification. You bring several years of experience in IT operations, monitoring, IT operations, or system administration. You are familiar with monitoring and observability tools, ideally Checkmk. You understand IT infrastructures, servers, networks, databases, applications, APIs, and cloud services. You have a strong command of ITSM processes related to incident, problem, and change management.
