Senior Microsoft Platform Software Engineer

Overview Quest Software is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to help bring AI-powered coding practices into an established on-premises enterprise software product. This role requires strong hands-on C#/.NET development experience with practical experience using AI coding agents, AI-assisted software development tools, and agentic development workflows. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute directly to the product codebase while also helping the team adopt AI coding approaches that improve development speed, code quality, test coverage, refactoring and troubleshooting. We are looking for someone who has used AI coding agents in real software development work and can translate that experience into repeatable practices for the project team. Responsibilities Design, estimate, code, test, document, and maintain components of a commercial on-premises enterprise software product. Work in a C#/.NET codebase, contributing to both new development and maintenance of existing product components. Champion the adoption of AI-assisted software development practices across the project team. Evaluate, introduce, and establish practical best practices for AI coding agents and agentic development workflows. Identify opportunities to improve developer productivity, code quality, automated testing, troubleshooting, technical documentation, and delivery using AI-powered development tools.
