Mortgage Loan Originator - External

The Mortgage Loan Originator – External is a sales-focused mortgage originator responsible for generating mortgage business through proactive outreach, relationship-building, and exceptional member service. This role counsels members on mortgage options, completes applications, collects required documentation, prepares initial disclosures, and guides borrowers through the loan process from inquiry to closing. The Specialist actively develops relationships with realtors, builders, business partners, and community contacts to drive loan volume and expand Purdue Federal’s market presence. The position must comply with all SAFE Act registration requirements. Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Mortgage Business Development Proactively generate mortgage business through outbound calls, partner outreach, and community engagement. Build and maintain relationships with realtors, builders, and business partners to drive referral volume. Attend open houses, closings, community events, and educational sessions to increase visibility and lead generation. Conduct sales follow-up, track leads, and manage a personal pipeline of prospects. Represent the organization as a trusted home lending partner by promoting mortgage products and educating potential borrowers. Deliver strong service to increase referrals and repeat business. Application, Member Counseling & Initial Processing Meet with prospective borrowers (in person, phone, or virtual) to gather financial information
