Position Title: democracyFIRST Data Deputy Director Location: Remote Compensation: $3,067.50 biweekly, prorated for the contract term Start Date: October 19, 2026 End Date: November 11, 2026 Position Summary: democracyFIRST is seeking an experienced data staffer to serve as Deputy Data Director for the final weeks of the 2026 campaign cycle. The Deputy Data Director runs the day-to-day data operation for democracyFIRST’s paid canvass programs in Nevada, Michigan, and Wisconsin, reporting to the National Data Director, and supports the Arizona volunteer program’s data work as needed. The role covers early vote, ballot chase, ballot cure, and GOTV data: getting ballot status data into canvassers’ hands, keeping reporting accurate and current for leadership, and keeping the tools that power voter contact running. This is a full-time, fully remote, short-term contract position and is not eligible for benefits. Given placement of staff across time zones, this person must be available during the 10:00am - 6:00pm ET hours, with evening and weekend work expected through Election Day.
