AVD Operations Manager

Role OverviewThe AVD Operations Manager will lead the management and optimization of a cloud-based virtual desktop infrastructure environment built on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of virtual desktop services while overseeing operational processes and a team responsible for day-to-day infrastructure support. The position requires deep expertise in Azure technologies, virtualization platforms, and enterprise infrastructure management. The successful candidate will also drive operational improvements, automation initiatives, and cross-team collaboration to ensure a stable and scalable virtual desktop environment. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Operations Lead the administration and ongoing operations of Azure Virtual Desktop environments, ensuring stable and secure service delivery. Oversee the configuration and management of AVD components, including host pools, session hosts, and workspaces. Develop and implement strategies for deployment, scaling, and performance optimization of virtual desktop infrastructure. Manage virtual desktop images and scaling strategies to maintain system efficiency and performance. Ensure secure access to systems by implementing and maintaining appropriate security policies and controls.
