Backend Engineer

First things first: Salary — 60,000 to 90,000 EUR fixed salary. Equity — VSOP. Profit Sharing — employee profit sharing. Location — Europe, Remote. Working hours — Full-time (40h). Possible start date — As soon as possible. Your responsibilities: You and our team will build our central API and all surrounding backend services, predominantly in Node/TS, which deliver our data and calculations quickly and efficiently while providing a fantastic developer experience for client developers. Through intuitive API design and elegant data management, you abstract complexity for other developers and our end customers. You will help scale our backend systems and infrastructure for existing products while validating new products/services/ideas using MVPs. Our internal API is treated as a product in its own right. You will take ownership to ensure this product remains stable, intuitive, and fast for the tech team to use. Debug and solve production issues across the entire stack — you are close to the product and ensure a robust foundation. You continuously elevate our engineering standards, tooling, and processes to the next level. Through your work, you ensure we deliver scalable solutions that exceed all customer expectations. Work closely with colleagues in frontend, design, and product to ship projects both small and large.
