System Administrator III

Position Overview This position will be part of a team responsible for supporting the technical infrastructure that includes hardware, software, and cloud service provider components. This role will serve as a pivotal resource, driving implementation, and design services for other areas of the organization and its customers. Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities) Map the relationship between IT platform/Infrastructure components (i.e. Technology End Users, IT System Software & Hardware and info-Communications Transmission Networks). Identify key technology interactions and dependencies across systems/platforms. Investigate and analyze problems to identify root causes and ensure timely resolution. Design and implement system monitoring and performance optimization solution. Design, implement, and maintain backup strategies, ensuring data integrity and availability. Design documentation configuration baselining of systems, testing or modification of IT infrastructure. Evaluate new solutions through research and collaboration and determine course of action for new technical initiatives. Responsible for incident escalation and coordination of resources to resolve issues in a timely manner to meet Service Level Agreement metrics. Support Disaster Recovery/Continuity of Operations (DR/COOP) exercises, testing and live incidents per procedures and policies. Maintain security and integrity controls.
