Director of Events

Description OpenDor Media is searching for a Director of Events to own a growing calendar of live shows and donor events, from the first request to the final debrief, and turn each one into an experience worth showing up for. You will be the front door for every event request, work with our Chief Marketing Officer to set priorities and assign ownership, and run the room on site when it counts. Your work shapes how people experience OpenDor Media in person, and the events you deliver show people who we are and why our work matters. OpenDor Media is a leading global non-profit media company for the 21st century. We educate, entertain, and engage our audiences by bringing to life big ideas and authentic stories, and by celebrating all things Jewish. This role is an exempt, fully remote position that includes travel to events 1-2 times per month. What you'll own Flagship live shows: Be the person who makes each show happen: set the budget, secure approvals, book the venue and production team, and lead on site, working with Content and Development on the stage conversation, VIP reception and guest list. Donor events: Plan and deliver parlor events and donor gatherings in Los Angeles, New York, Miami and other cities, giving our Development team the right setting to deepen relationships with supporters.
