Contractor - Electrical Engineer (Plant Systems)

NOTE: This is a 40 hour/week contract position expected to last through 2027. Work may be performed remotely within the contiguous United States, with travel as needed for business needs. POSITION SUMMARY: Plant Systems Engineering team focuses on the design and integration of the Balance of Site (BOS) systems in the nuclear power plant utilizing NuScale SMRs. Electrical Engineer in Plant Systems Engineering developsdesign requirements for the BOS electrical and I&C systems andprovides oversight and technical support to NuScale’s design partners in developing the system designs for projects. The engineer will work closely with multi‑discipline and cross-functional teams (both internal and external) to resolve design issues, plans and execute work to support project scope. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supports the development of design requirements and the integration of BOS system designs into the overall plant architecture and project plans. Provides technical oversight and support to NuScale’s design partners in developing design for the BOS electrical and I&C systems. Prepares and reviews technical documents as required to support project work. Plans, organizes, and performs assignments in a team environment.
