What you'll do: The Cash Accountant/Bank Rec Lead develops, maintains and recommends policies and procedures to improve the efficiency, accuracy and completion of financial reports and reconciliations. This position maintains responsibility for a portfolio of property bank recs, recording of journal entries, and research of complex variances related to Bank and Book activity. Your job will include: Reconcile complex bank accounts daily and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis. Examine ledger details, analyze transactions and adjust entries when necessary. Prepare quarterly aging schedule of outstanding reconciling items. Identify and propose recommendations for changes and improvements to accounting policies and procedures. Lead projects that streamline and improve the monthly close process, including software integration and implementation projects. Maintain daily communications with property managers and property accountants. Experience & skills you need: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Certified Public Accountant designation preferred. At least two years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of accounting concepts, with a focus on journal entries and bank reconciliations. Meticulous attention to detail.
