Senior Database Administrator

We are looking for a highly experienced, hands-on Senior Database Administrator to manage, optimize, and support mission-critical databases in a cloud-based production environment. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, AWS, and Linux, along with a strong focus on database performance, high availability, security, automation, and production reliability. The ideal candidate is proactive, technically independent, and comfortable supporting complex database environments while collaborating closely with engineering and operations teams. You must be able to work standard US time zones (UTC-8 to UTC-5/UTC-7 to UTC-4). Key Responsibilities Administer and maintain Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases running on Linux and AWS. Support mission-critical 24/7 production databases and Business Intelligence (BI) systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and availability. Monitor database health, optimize SQL queries, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and manage database capacity and storage. Implement and maintain cloud-based data replication solutions using AWS DMS, Kinesis, and related technologies. Develop and maintain SQL, PL/SQL, PSQL, and Linux shell scripts for database operations and automation.
