Database Administrator (Oracle)

Main responsibilities: Installation of database software. Planning schedules and installing database security patches. Creating new databases. Implementing database backup scenarios. Testing (regularly and on-demand) the functionality and quality of database backups. Monitoring key database parameters to ensure service continuity. Performing database migrations to other hardware or versions. Creating test and developer environments. Restoring database operations during hardware and operating system failures. Eliminating consequences of database failures. Analyzing critical messages from databases. Providing consultation and assistance in resolving database user issues (optimizing database queries, database performance speed, optimal database object structure, actions requiring 'administrator' access level, etc.). Candidate expectations: Higher technical education. Experience working with Oracle DBMS (installation, backup, configuration) - at least 2 years; Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL fundamentals; Experience with server operating systems - Linux, Windows.
