COBOL Developer

Koniag Data Solutions, LLC a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a COBOL Developer with a Secret security clearance to support KDS and our government customer. This position is remote. This role is critical in maintaining and enhancing legacy systems while supporting modernization initiatives within production and potential development/testing environments. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in COBOL programming and mainframe environments, with a strong understanding of business applications. The COBOL Developer will maintain, enhance, and support business applications written in COBOL. Principal responsibilities include but are not limited to: Write and modify COBOL, COBOL Language Extender (COBOL LE), and IBM MVS JCL code Use tools such as DISA Multi-host Internet Access Portal (MIAP) and Reflection ZFE for 3270 terminal emulation Troubleshoot and fix production issues under guidance of senior team members Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation including: Application operating and installation instructions Interfac
